| Voluspa - The Beginning and the end |
| The Voluspa (the Prophecy of the Seeress) is one of the most important sources concerning the study of the Norse panthenon of gods. The Eddic poem contains an account of the creation of the world and its occupants and continues to the final doom of the gods, or Ragnarock. The poem is the first in a collection known as the "Poetic Edda" or "Elder Edda", thought to have been collected by an unidentified Icelander during the twelth or Thirteenth century.
